Overview

Stiff, stable boards for long spans

The unique feature of KDC BWR Block Board is its New Zealand pine filler, with batons that are uniform in dimension and individually treated with preservative.

The core and panels are made of hard species of wood, while the batons are kept in a closed environment to ensure the preservatives diffuse into the timber. GLP technology protects the board from the outside too.

Made at our Gandhidham unit and supplied from our office on SP Ring Road, Ahmedabad, across Gujarat.

Ask our team

What is a block board?

A block board has a core of wooden batons placed edge to edge between hardwood veneers. KDC BWR block board uses preservative-treated New Zealand pine batons with hardwood core and panels, which makes it stiff over long spans.

Which thicknesses does KDC BWR block board come in?

19 mm and 25 mm.

Should I use block board or plywood?

Block board is stiffer over long spans, so it suits long shelves, table tops, wardrobes, door panels and partitions. Plywood is the usual choice for carcasses, shutters and most furniture.

Is KDC block board termite proof?

Yes. The batons are individually treated with preservative, the board is seasoned against insects, worms and fungus, and GLP technology protects it from the outside.
