What is the difference between BWR grade and marine plywood?

BWR grade plywood (IS 303) is boiling water resistant and suits kitchens, interiors and furniture that see moisture. Marine plywood (IS 710) is made from high-density Gurjan veneers for constant exposure to water, such as wet areas, boats and bus bodies.

Which thicknesses does KDC plywood come in?

BWR grade and marine plywood come in 4, 6, 8, 12, 15 and 19 mm. BWR block boards come in 19 and 25 mm, and flush doors in 25, 30, 32, 35, 38 and 40 mm, or as per your requirement.

Is KDC plywood termite proof?

Yes. Every veneer is treated with preservatives before pressing, and our GLP (Glue Line Protection) formula makes KDC plywood termite and borer proof.

When should I use block board instead of plywood?

Block board is stiffer over long spans, so it is the better choice for long shelves, table tops, tall doors, wardrobes and partitions. Plywood is the usual choice for carcasses, shutters and most furniture.
